The FRC has been serving the South Lake Tahoe low-income community for over 25 years. While members of our low-income community have confronted serious challenges before, nothing compares to the hardship created by the COVID-19 crisis. Virtually all of our low-income community members are currently out of work and unable to pay for their basic food and shelter needs. Unfortunately, many of these same community members will not receive any support from the recent federal Coronovirus Stimulus package because of immigration concerns.
These are difficult times for everyone in our community. We are all concerned about our health and financial well-being.
We are asking for donations, in any amount, to distribute to the our most vulnerable community members. Each and every donation that is contributed here will be paid out to low-income community members in the form of a grocery gift card for food.
