The South Lake Tahoe Family Resource Center was established in 1992 and successfully continues to address the needs of school age children and their families by providing a full range of life support, advocacy, learning activities and resources, and referrals designed to enhance resilience regardless of age or economic status. Trained, bilingual, bicultural staff helps stabilize families in crisis by providing basic necessities such as food, clothing, advocacy, and translation, in order for families to become physically and emotionally strong and self-sufficient community members. We focus our programs and services to the low-income and Latino community and support anyone who is in need regardless of race, age, ethnicity, national origin, and religion.
